Are Brick and Muenster cheese made using pasteurized milk?
Yes, all of Klondike Cheeses are made with pasteurized milk in accordance with state and Federal regulations.

What is the shelf life of Muenster and Brick Cheese?
An unopened package of Muenster and/or Brick cheese has a shelf life of 90 days. Once a package is opened, shelf life depends on if it is stored in a closed container at refrigerated temperatures. It also depends on how well the package is resealed and what other items are stored next to the cheese in the refrigerator.

What is the recommended temperature for storage?
For the best shelf life of the cheese it should be stored at 33 to 40 degrees F. Muenster cheese can be put in a freezer, but not recommended. Freezing and thawing may change the characteristics of the cheese.

How do you cook with Muenster and Brick?
Both cheeses melt when heated. It becomes creamy and soft. They are great used with sandwiches, burgers, Mac & Cheese or with a wide variety of food ingredients. Please see our recipe tab for more detailed information.
